LEZ operating hours

The operating hours of the Girona LEZ are: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm (working days). On weekends and public holidays, there are no restrictions on access, movement and parking within the LEZ.

The access restrictions during the operating hours of the LEZ are given below, according to vehicle type.

The LEZ restrictions will take effect from 15 September.

LEZ Restrictions

1. Vehicles with an Environmental Label

All vehicles with environmental labels B, C, Eco and 0 will have free access to enter the LEZ.

It is not necessary to have the sticker on the vehicle.

2. Vehicles without an Environmental Label

Any vehicle without an environmental label can enter for up to 24 days in a calendar year within the LEZ operating hours without the need for prior registration.

Vehicles without an environmental label which are registered in the "Municipal Register of Girona" and meet one of the following conditions may also circulate in the LEZ without any restrictions and without a limit on the number of days:

• Vehicles that have their registered address in Girona, provided that this was already the case in 2024.


• Vehicles dedicated to the transport of People with Reduced Mobility (PRM) that meet the conditions set out in the Girona LEZ Ordinance.


• Vehicles with foreign registration plates that meet the technological and emission requirements equivalent to the authorised environmental labels (B, C, ECO and 0).


• There are also many temporary exemptions and exceptions for other vehicles which don’t have an environmental label.
